Modar's Journal: Score one for me!

Good day at work, not much happened till after the office.
 
Decided to go out for a drink on the boss's dime - weird little place call Horse Head on a Stick. Not bad, and free so even better.
 
Met up with Kade (the collector I worked with a couple a times a while back) by coincidence; good networking opportunity.
 
Even better though, Rasputin (the big boss in my new spot in precinct 6) came by looking a little nervous. Seems he had some trouble with some Goblins that "tried to kill him" about 2 weeks ago. He hired some guys to deal with it, but they didn't show; and then he looked positively wrecked. Not sure if they lived or not, be he hired Kade and me to escort him home, thinks the goblins are the work of Dimir.
 
Unfortunately for him (fortunately for me) he let slip that he thinks the problem started when he offed my predecessor Fidious. I can still use him, but obviously I some insurance to make sure I don't end up like ole Fid. I don't think I should write down exactly what I have in mind, even here in my journal.
 
We did get waylaid by goblins on the way, but no biggie. Honestly, Rasputin's drunken flailing about was the worst part of the fight.
 
He seemed pretty happy about the escort, even gave me a little tip. Getting on the good side of a pontiff in the first month? Someone is moving on up!
