Downtime III

I have begun treating Nilus, it is slow going, but I am enjoying our time together. Our journey has lead us to the north end of the African continent. There is a monastery here that houses some very intriguing monks. These monks have developed a technique of Tattooing that allows the inks to stay with an immortal. These Tattoos are more then decorative. They bring out hidden potential within the recipient. I will learn this technique. Maybe I can combine this technique with my magik learnings.
 
Nilus has recovered mostly. The claws have reverted to normal, and the worst of the nightmares have passed. I am not sure if the nightmares he still has are the result of the Corruption, or many years on the battlefield. Not every casualty of war takes on physical wounds.
I have learned this Blood Artist skill, I still have much to learn, but I am reasonably proficient. I have also received Tattoos. One to improve my Vigor, and one to increase my Durability. Nilus received one to increase his speed. I hope to study these tattoos to see if I can find a shared understanding with my magical learnings.
