The Sea Beckons
I have met up with a Spanish captain, Juan de Cartagena. He has been hired by the Spanish government to sail to the new world. They seek to map the seas. This information may be useful to me. Captain Cartagena may also be persuaded to sail for me in the future. We shall see what skills he has to offer.
Juan has confided in me that is has come into possession of a map, supposedly leading to a treasure hidden in the "New World". After my recent setbacks I am in desperate need of capital. Any gains from this venture are sorely needed.
