The Rescue Plan

This should be amusing. A party, like those I have been involved with, had been captured by, GOBLINS!!!! ROFLMFHAO. A goblin who apparently does not agree with what is going on with this tribe is helping us. I am suspicious.
 
We have been asked to rescue the adventurers. Hopefully, I can squeeze some gold from them, if they value their lives.
 
We arrived at a place that had numerous entrances. Sending the imp to scout, we find we have to deal with a large spider. Zugg Zugg cast feather fall on the party, We all float down. Upon arriving, the goblin points to the ground, I do not see what he sees. Malikai sees what I could not, a pit trap.
 
I am no rogue. I do not profess to having the trap finding skill. I see webs all over the ground. Decay is the environment. Indeed, a lair for a spider. And it is a BIIIGGGG spider. A War Spider.

Using my strength, I push through the strands and land a bow shot. The creature recoiled at the hit. Hans didn't like the attention. I wish the thing would come down off the ceiling and wall to face me. Freya and Zugg Zugg are hurting the thing. Zugg Zugg's thunderwave, trashed the beast. It fell 20 feet and SPLAT, and a horde of baby spiders emerged from the abdomen..... Shit.... Why did it have to be spiders......
 
After defeating the swarm which damaged Hans with bites and the alchemy fire that Freya ignited the swarm with.
 
Topknot pointed to a secret door. We burst in and eliminate all the Goblins in the room, but 1 is able to raise the alarm. We prepare for the incoming goblin swarm. In the meantime, the people we are supposed to rescue, lie unconscious in their cages. Probably the most useful they have ever been.....
 
The prisoners were not only out, but exhausted. We had two things to do, kill the Queen, and rescue. We decided to cut off the head of the snake. A room with a poisonous cloud stands between us and the queens room. Zugg Zugg controls the cloud with Gust of wind. I open the door and take a dozen or more attacks. My skills prevent most of the damage I would have taken.
 
The goblins swarm and start flanking us. Our goblin guide calls out. Apparently my mistrust of the race was misplaced, at least in his case.
 
Suddenly a swarm of tiny spiders envelop me.
 
Lucky for me, the gust of wind was still blowing. Just back a step and off they goooooo! The battle raged for a short time. The goblins decided to flank us, but the goblin and our warlock appeared to be prepared and headed them off. I charged in and engaged the sniper in melee, taking away his advantage. The tide turned and we ended up defeating the queen and rescuing the previous party.
 
The goblin guide pledged his service to one of us. I drew the lot and won his service. Hmmm, yes, goblin ass will do. I accept his commitment and equip him in light armor, and assless chaps. Easy access is key. Yes, he will do just fine. The mini dragon contributes 50 gold in thanks for his freedom. The others, well, they appear to believe that our rescue is service enough. Lets see them get captured again. LOL
