[[disturbed a pair of manticores in their nest. defeated without too much trouble]]
[[basilisk corpse with 2 giant centipedes in its belly. corpse set on fire; centipedes destroyed easily.]]
[[temple behind basilisk contains 6 alcoves, 5 with ruined statues and 1 intact. petrified adventurers and monsters scattered at the far end.]]
[[intact statue has black pudding in stasis on it; we activate it as we poke around. Creature destroyed easily.]]
