That latest fight was a mess, and reminded Jay of what she had thought of since joining the group she now loves so much; she needs to get better at protecting herself and others. The thrill of a close victory, sure, but one can only have so many near death experiences a week without going mad.
It's interesting how little regard for her own safety Roshanna has, since she seems to - quite firmly - agree that the rest of the group shouldn't put their lives in danger, even when it's for her sake. Of course Jay didn't mind the extra gold they had found in that tomb, but everyone should take part of the danger of they are to take part in the reward. Even though they all risked being crushed by that ripple effect, but they didn't know that at the time.
Oh well, perhaps that was enough for a while when it comes to dungeoneering. Jay could feel a tug back north in her mind - toward the Eye of the Allfather? - like she had something very important left unfinished (which made a lot of sense). But that wasn't the only thing. She felt so much like she had something to do right there, in Waterdeep, some decision or plan to make, but that it would have to wait until that other thing was done. Obviously securing the realm was the first priority, and it didn't feel as strange to her as it had done before; that it was her responsibility to do it.
