A Small Delay - Potential Oppurtunity

It seems I may be a bit longer on this trip than was originally planned. The man running this dig site has offered me and the other guards a lucrative job. It's a risk, but if I don't take this, we'll be through the gold we got from the Falcon contract. Hopefully this explains my delay in returning home.
 
It may not be as much of a risk as it seems at first. I gave Sobek some instructions, and we'll be payed if I don't make it. I've been making progress trying to make sense of Trystan's strange religion. Apparently there is a plan, or some kind of destiny planned for the world. I guess being killed by a giant scorpion last week wasn't a part of that plan?
