I stole a ruby red necklace from a house, but security was a lot higher than expected. Unknown to me, the necklace housed a devil of some kind, and offered me help out of the situation I found myself in.

Tall gaunt bronze skinned man, slicked back black hair, attractive face, black neck tattoos, lose shirt. I don't know much else about him. Conventional Ashkar clothes, but rich.

Going back home, I had a gut feeling on how to use some of the same powers he showed me. He said we might see each other again. Fine by me, friend.

Opportunity Lost

So far, this extra job has been dangerous, but lucrative. There was some strange business with some religious types, guarding some old artifacts. And another thing you wouldn't believe, living statues of some kind of lion people. We managed to deal with both of them and find some kind of ancient treasure they were guarding. A blue scarab.

I have to say brother, I forgot the first rule of stealing in that room: Nothing is ever easy. The door shut on me and the room began filling with sand. Luckily Sobek held the door open for me. Friend nearly got crushed for it, but now we should be a good deal richer. This will buy us a lot of essentials, for a long time.

I write this after the first day, after we left to let Sobek rest up. Tomorrow we should finish looking around, and I suspect there may be more hidden secrets. That means more money for us brother. When I get back to read this to you, you'll already know how much.

The major events and journals in Rhaza's history, from the beginning to today.

I don't think I'm going to do a journal entry, there hasn't been enough time for Rhaza to collect his thoughts. Instead have a few notes about Rhaza's views on last week's events. Rhaza is unsure about Muhammad, but he is good with a bow and faced traps and skeletons of Anu Asir. He could be a useful ally. He thinks Barian should sell that dagger instead of keeping it. It would clearly bring in a lot of gold, he isn't going to bring up the subject. He thinks if possible, the hand should be kept secret. Some things should stay buried beneath the sand. He is unsure about the staff. It could be a useful tool, or it might be better sold off to the researchers so he can afford medicine. Rhaza is sure to tell his brother Hassan about Sobek if he makes it back to Ashqar without issue. He doesn't know who the gold should go to for compensation, but he owes the dragonborn at least that for sacrificing himself in the flames. Maybe that doctor he saw, or someone else in the dragonborn part of the dig site might help. He will definitely ask the man paying us for the artifacts to make sure that gets taken care of.
