Brom Van Brunt, Champion of the Sister Isles

by Brom Van Brunt

The Champions of the Sister Isles

Ianthe, human woman, early thirties, Paladin of Heroism, former mercenary, "current drill sergeant", leader of the team

Juliet, human (woman) bard, early fifties, team mom, a starlet in her day, tired of singing about adventures and wanted to go on one

Mikael, half-elf wizard, 19-20 years old, kind of a nerd, apprentice of the court wizard from Durindral

Sully, halfling rogue, quick-talking, common street thief Ianthe picked up when he tried to filch her purse. Brom fell very hard for him.

Probably not - the Sister Isles Champions were planning on sailing to Cytos to ask the advice of John Cadfrendel and Rohana Lex, the two surviving champions from the previous Odyssey. It was a long shot, but they didn't have many other plans. The Karakedai don't talk much in the presence of outsiders - they're very businesslike, almost cold, even when they're engaged in brutal violence

My alternate suggestion was that maybe the Sister Isles Champions had been drinking with a member of that gang the night before the Odyssey, told him their plans, and he sold them out to the Karakedai, so Brom showed up to murderize them? Or if you'd prefer you can keep the 'looking for Eragon' thing - the idea of seeming initially threatening to him is good, and that can still work! Up to you

You probably would have at least ascertained that they're not even fucking around trying to get the horn yet - their strategy is to kill every other competitor and then go from there

The organization that sells info and the one that sold out the champions are different - you were sold out by a random pirate who happened to be in Forcalish you were drinking with. Named the Redtails
