Shiokosho

Shiokosho is a vast mountainous region on the east side of The Continent of Frutuscore. Due to it's difficult terrain not many settlements are located here. There are some smaller ones located deep in the mountains, but the main location in Shiokosho is Shiokosho City, capital of the nation. It is located in a large valley at the center of Shiokosho, giving it natural resources around it and natural protection.

Shiokosho has a very unique ecosystem where the more north you go the drier it gets; this is due to the Azalea Desert being so close to the north.

Geography

The nation is very rocky and dry. The mountainous region makes for excellent defense but very harsh travel.

Ecosystem

Due to the somewhat harsh contitions, many fauna and flora have had to adapt to become more resiliant. Some of the hardiest creatures live in this region.

Localized Phenomena

Unexpected rockslides can prove to be troubling for those in the mines and traveling through Shiokosho. There have been many precautions to prevent this, such as rock slide watches and barriers to keep rocks from destroying roads and houses.

Fauna & Flora

Little plants grow here, though there are plenty of animals who have adapted to the harsh conditions.

Natural Resources

There are many precious ores, minerals, and spices that can be found in the mountains. Shiokosho City has set up many mines to extract said resources.

History

Shiokosho was founded when Frutians first settled there. They were mostly unaffected by Kiwano's flood, for the mountains provided great cover. After Pitaya, God of Judgement was born, everything changed for the little nation. It is said that Pitaya made his first appearance above Shiokosho, making it his technical birthplace. Pitaya also made those who worshiped him create a sort of palace for him to reside while on the Material Plane. How fitting that Shiokosho was Pitaya's birthplace and deathplace, for some believed Pitaya to have "died" after he was struck down from the heavens and banished from the Material Plane.

This has not stopped those of Shiokosho from worshiping him however.
