Faerie
Located in the Northern and Eastern Hemispheres of Şiv´ia, Faerie is the second largest continent in the world. It is home to Fae , as well as unique species of Elves, Iather, and Mortal. As of 32 Oriole, the continent consists of three countries, with four distinct regions: Central Faerie Empire, Far Faerie Empire, Glacia, and Dusk Bloom Lands . The continent is made up of one central landmass and 27 islands of various sizes. Various regions have made contact with other continents and islands, but there has been little official contact between governments of Faerie and those in the Otherlands.
Geography
Major Geographical Regions
North Faerie
North Faerie (shown in red) refers to the northernmost part of western Faerie. This region is also sometimes called the North Faerie Empire. It consists of a pennesilla and three islands. North Faerie is predominantly covered in humid continental grasslands, with the northern islands being polar tundra, and the eastern edge having mountains and desert. Because of the large number of rivers and un forested framland, North Faerie was the largest agricultural region in the Faerie Empire for a long time. As invention and technology advances, however, the primary sector work in North Faerie is shifting to mining for the valuable metals and minerals found within the mountains and deserts.
West Sylvania
West Sylvania is more of a cultural region than a physical one. It is considered to be the last organized Sylvan Nation in the Faerie Empire, and exists along the isthmus connecting North Faerie to North Central Faerie. West Sylvania is mostly covered in coniferous forest, with some farmland near the rivers. The region is largely used for crop farming and livestock, as there are legal limits of how much lumber can be taken and many sacred sites where trees can not be cut at all.
Ravenbarrow
Ravenbarrow is an island located in between North Faerie and North Central Faerie. Originally, Ravenbarrow was considered to be either part of North Central Faerie, due to its wealth and important government centers, or North Faerie due to its large agricultural regions. However, following the First Faerie Civil War, Ravenbarrow was one of the poorest regions of Faerie, and the primary economic sector collapsed due to a lack of workers and remaining natural resources. As of 32 Oriole, the western side of Ravenbarrow more closely resembled the economy of West Sylvania, while the eastern side near the river is more similar to North Faerie.
North Central Faerie
North Central Faerie describes the majority of the Central Faerie Empire. As it is one of the larger regions in Faerie, it contains a larger variety of climate types. For the most part, it is a humid continental region, with coniferous and deciduous forests covering much of the land, and floodplains and farmland clustered near rivers. Along the southern coast there is a Mediterranean climate, and to the east there are cold steppes. Logging and farming make up the majority of the primary sector activities here, but as it is the a central population center, industry and service careers are more common. Emberton, the capital of the Faerie Empire, is located in this region.
West Faerie
West Faerie is the westernmost region of Faerie. It contains farmland and deciduous forests, with temperate rainforests covering the coast of the westernmost portions. This region is best known for its lumber, medicinal plants, aquaculture, and cloth production. It is also one of the few non-mountainous regions in which precious metals are found.
South Faerie
South Faerie is the region South of the Southern Ridge Mountains. The region includes mountains, a cold desert, two hot deserts, cold and hot steppes, tropical savanna, subtropical continental, and Mediterranean climates. It also has some of the most diverse and valuable resources in Faerie, and is most likely the original agricultural hearth. Due to the wealth of natural resources, South Faerie has large primary and secondary economic sectors. Ashfire, generally considered to be the manufacturing capital of the Faerie Empire, is located here.
South Central Faerie
South Central Faerie is located in the true middle of the continent. The region is largely taken up by a massive cold desert and two major mountain ranges. Outside of the desert, however, are deciduous forests, grasslands, and steppes, which provide lumber and food for the region. The south western edges also have a powerful aquaculture industry. Despite having one of the largest concentrations of precious metals in Faerie, South Central Faerie contains some of the poorest regions. The Far Faerie Empire is located mostly within this region.
West Glacia/Gracia
The official name for the western part of Glacia is West Glacia, but as the region was once the kingdom of Gracia, many ethnic Gracians refer to it as Gracia. West Glacia is covered in tropical savanna and hot steppes, with some mountainous regions in the north. It's primary sector activities are mostly farming, and mining on the island. West Glacia also produces a small amount of lumber.
Avalon
Avalon is an island of the coast of Glacia. While the land is technically owned by Glacia, the island is controlled by the Children of Heaven, as it is a part of the main Magical Vortex to Earth. The island is currently populated only by [Morgana Moon], [Medusa Pluto], and [Isis Heaven]. Avalon has a tropical savanna climate, a small river, and several luxury resources, though none of this is modified. (Technically, Glacia *could* evict the current residents and harvest the materials, but picking fights with three extremely powerful demi-deities isn't recommended.)
East Glacia
East Glacia is the eastern half of mainland Glacia. This is the most populous part of the country, and includes the capitol. It includes tropical savanna, hot and cold steppes, mountains, a cold desert, and subtropical continental climates. East Glacia produces huge amounts of food and metals. Like South Faerie, East Glacia has a wealth of natural resources and is the industrial centre of its country. However, while South Faerie has factories that build many new technologies, East Glacia is the place those technologies are invented.
East Sylvania
East Sylvania is consisted of the north eastern part of the Faerie continent and several islands. Similar to West Sylvania, East Sylvania is a region characterized by a strong presence of Sylvan culture. East Sylvania contains Mediterranean, humid continental, polar tundra, cold steppes, and mountainous climates. East Sylvania produces a large amount of food and practical crops, as well as luxury goods which are used for trade. East Sylvania also includes several volcanic islands which are incredible rich in minerals and precious metals.
Rivers
Teanne River
The Teanne River is located on the island Ravenbarrow. The Teanne has many branches which start in the middle of the island and flow eastward toward the sea. The river is named after Teanne the Peaceful, an Emberton diplomat who is credited by many for bringing the First Faerie Civil to an end and ensuring that Ravenbarrow was allowed enough funds to rebuild.
River of Stars
The River of Stars is a large river in North Central Faerie. Several important trading hubs are located along the Stars, including Emberton. The river is named for its unusually reflective water. It is said that on a clear, still night one can see the stars reflected perfectly on the water. This is the only river in all of Şiv´ia known to possess this quality.
River of Heroes
The River of Heroes is the largest river in West Faerie. It is said that so long as there are good folk in the land, the farms along the river will prosper, but when a hero falls, the water level will fall. The three sources that flow into the River of Heroes are said to be the burial sites of three ancient heroes: Tn'ioha, Kamaria the Great, and Caore.
Crystal River
Located on the south coast of North Central Faerie, this river is said to be the birthplace of the first Guardian of Crystal, Queen Diamond I. Aside from this historical notion, the river bed was littered with diamonds and other precious gems. Recently, however, less and less gems have been found in this region. Many have linked this to the deteriorating state of the Faerie Empire, saying that as Queen Diamond's Empire was failing so was her blessed river.
Ashfire River
One of the most iconic rivers in South Faerie, the Ashfire River runs through the megalopolis of Ashfire and the surrounding communities. As the name suggests, the Ashfire is heavily polluted from the manufacturing happening in the surrounding region. Recently, efforts have been made to clean up the river, as pollution was beginning to affect major aquacultural centres nearby. Ashfire Council For Democracy and Liberty listed cleaning the river as one of their major environmental goals after independence was achieved.
River Eistea
This river is located in the deserts of northwestern South Faerie. It is named after a local goddess of Hope and Life, Eistea (though she is usually rewritten as an early Guardian of Hope in modern interpretations), who carved the river out of the desert soil to bring water to her exiled followers.
Lake Vanessa and the River of Roses
Vanessa is a complicated deity, with a controversial history and even more divisive present. In north eastern South Central Faerie, she was originally worshipped as a goddess of strength, heroism, and war. It is upon these legends which the tale of the River of Roses is based. It is said that Vanessa was, at the time, walking amongst the Fae as a general (or Queen of the region, depending on your interpretation). During her adventures, she met a befriended a young lieutenant, who accompanied her for many centuries before being killed in battle high in the mountains. In her rage, Vanessa cut through her enemies in a roughly straight line to their homeland, which she snialated completely. This left a river of blood behind her, which spilled into a lake where the enemy's homeland had been. It is said that even today, when the goddess' wrath is provoked, the river will run red.
As far as known fact goes, the River of Roses does start in the mountains and flow to Lake Vanessa, before continuing to the ocean. Additionally, it has ran red at times, most notably during the final battle between
Vanessa's Avengers and the forces loyal to Queen Oriole. However, the river actually has a second source feeding into it, which is not mentioned in the myth.
Arledu River
This river in South Central Faerie forms part of the arch of grain, an agricultural region in the lowlands north of the Desolate Expanse. The river is said to have been blessed by Arledu the Pure, a ancient Fae hero who was slain during the Age of Blood. Regardless of the authenticity of this myth (there are many who question of Arledu even existed), the river has always turned a good crop. Even in times of drought, the Arledu valley remains fertile, and it is said that the highest quality grains in all of Faerie are grown there.
Cobalt River
Cobalt River flows from the mountains of the desolate expanse through the swamps and out to sea. It is named for its highly unusual colour, which is also a cause of suspicion for many. The colouration is believed to have something to do with the swamp, as the river flows through the Fortress of the Swamp Queen. However, no effect is shown to be caused by the water, and the local warlocks claim to know nothing about it.
The Devouring River
The Devouring River, located in East Sylvania, is infamous throughout Faerie as the least predictable river in the world. The river floods at seemingly random times, and goes nearly completely dry at others. No pattern has been found to the river's flooding yet, and it is unlikely that one ever will. The soil near the Devouring River is extremely fertile, leading many to risks the floods to grow near it. However, no settlements have been built near the river since the flood that gave it is name swallowed nearly 30 villages whole in a sudden winter flood.
The Burning River
Glacia is known now as the glorious centre of invention, innovation, and creation. The process of getting there, however, was much less pretty. The Burning River is a lasting mark of that time. Once, the area along the river was teaming with natural resources of all kinds. As Glacia entered its industrial age, the region rapidly grew in manufacturing, with thousands of factories and other manufacturing centres popping up along the river. This led to the natural resources being quickly depleted, and the river extremely polluted. At the time, no one recognize what a threat this was.
Then, in the early morning of a busy work day, a massive fire broke out in a factory at the fork in the river. The polluted water caught fire, and, due to a lack of proper building codes and the majority of the factories being made of wood, so did the factories next door. The river and factories on its banks burned from the sources to the port for several days, killing hundreds of thousands of people and destroying the economy. Some trading ships docked near the mouth of the river caught fire as well, and the docks district suffered huge damage as well. To this day, nothing can grow along the Burning River, and very few attempts have been made to build anything along it. Parts of the river still burn at times.
Deserts
Arctic Wastes
The Arctic Wastes is a cold desert in North Faerie. It is located to the west of the Ice-Crowned Ridge. The Wastes is the coldest desert in Faerie, though it is also one of the wettest. The Wastes was also the largest source of metals in the Faerie Empire for a long time, and remains one of the most important mining regions in Faerie. It is also the only place in Faerie where certain valuable minerals are found, which allowed for North Faerie kingdoms to easily trade with the Dancing Iles for quite some time.
The Blood Laced Land
A narrow band of hot desert in South Faerie, The Blood Laced Land was the ancestral home of two ancient groups. According to legend, there was a great battle between the two groups, which spanned millenia until the deity of peace, who had created both groups, lost their temper. In doing this, they became the deity of death, and killed everything within the battleground, resulting in the band of wastelands and distinctive red sand. For many millennia, it was taboo to enter The Blood Laced Land. Even now, few locals venture within its expanse.
The desert itself is very rich in minerals, and with increasing demand for new inventions, The Blood Laced Land has become another important mining frontier in the Faerie Empire. Due to it's previously unmined state, the land has not yet been depleted of metals that were valuable pre-industrialization either, making it one of Faerie's leading gold exporters.
The Raging Barrens
The largest hot desert in Faerie, The Raging Barrens make up most of South Faerie. Known for their violent winds and storms, this region is surprisingly well populated. Many strong early kingdoms developed within the Barrens, and it was one of the last regions to b conquered by Faerie. The Barrens is highly rich in metals, most notably copper, though there is also a thriving agricultural industry along the rivers.
The Desolate Expanse
The Deadfields
The Deadfields are a hot desert in East Sylvania. They are rich in precious metals, but it comes at a cost: for every group who ventures into the desert, at least half die. This happens regardless of the steps taken, the size of the group, or even how long they spend there. Due to this apparent curse, mining in the Deathfeilds has been illegal since before the Second Faerie Civil War.
The Thundering Wasteland
Once, the large cold desert in northern Glacia was a valuable resource, rich with minerals and metals. The climate there was also relatively calm and mild, allowing for crops to be grown along the rivers. There was only one drawback: the land was inhabited by Elil Heaven, one of Heaven's oldest children and a demigod of storms. For the most part, Elil just wanted to be left alone, so as long as the Glacians respected him and his desert, he was fine with them. However, the Burning River has both of its sources within the desert. When the river and the factories on it's banks burned, Elil lashed out in rage, intending to further show the Glacians the error of their ways. However, his sisters Isis and Ishtar stepped in, limiting his destruction to the boundaries of the desert.
The desert is now in a state of near constant thunderstorm. Though it seldom rains, lightning, wind, and tornadoes are a near constant occurrence with in the wastelands. While Glacia still does much of its mining within the Thunderind Wasteland, it is highly risky work. Any attempts to bring industry back to the region risks a direct confrontation with Elil. As such, the only two cities in the Thundering Waste use pre-industrial technology for mining and transporting resources out to the rest of Glacia.
Mountains
The Ice-Crowned Ridge
The Ice-Crowned Ridge is a mountain range that runs north to south down the length of the North Faerie Pennesilla. It gets its name from the ice which covers the top fourth of the mountains year-around. As far as mountains go, the Ice-Crowned Ridge is fairly short. It is also a source for many valuable minerals, which has led to a thriving mining industry in North Faerie.
The South Ridge Mountains
These mountains form a physical barrier between South Faerie and the rest of the continent. They are also the top border of the Raging Barrens, and have a moderate supply of minerals and metals of some value.
Shiavae's Crown
These are the tallest mountains on the Faerie continent. They surround the Raging Barrens on the west and south sides. Shiavae was an ancient land god from the local Fae religion, sometimes also called the Land Queen. It is said that the mountain range formed when Shiavae was killed in battle, and his crown fell from the The Star-Fields to the surface of Faerie. The mountains are also very good for mining, if one is willing to brave the turbulent winds of the Raging Barrens.
The Moaning Highlands
The Moaning Highlands are a north to south mountain range that bisects the Eternity Mountains in the Desolate Expanse. They are the shortest mountain range on Faerie, but one of the richest in rare minerals and gemstones. There are also several active volcanoes in the highlands, and rumor has it that just prior to an eruption, one can hear the death cries of an entire Fae kingdom that was caught in an ancient eruption.
The Eternity Mountains
The Eternity Mountains run the entire length of the Desolate Expanse. They were previously known as the Storm Mountains, but after the Second Faerie Civil War they were renamed in honor of the Eternity Dynasty. The Eternity Mountains are very rich in precious metals and gemstones. Like the Moaning Highlands, they have some impressive seismic activity, although the Eternity Mountains have far fewer eruptions happen in them.
The Sylvan Mountains
These mountains create the original physical and political border between Dusk Bloom Lands and Glacia. They are the longest mountain range in Faerie. The Sylvan Mountains provide most of the Dusk Blooms trade goods, as well as providing minerals and metals for the growth of industry in Glacia. Additionally, the Sylvan Mountains include the Bridge to the Star-fields, the tallest mountain in Faerie and an important cultural site. The official borders of the Dusk Bloom Lands and Glacia have been drawn specifically so that this mountain is not claimed by either country.
Islands
(Ravenbarrow and Avalon are both islands, but as they also form their own reigons, they are not listed here)Isle Serenity
Isle Serenity is a large island to the north of the main Faerie continent. It is covered in polar tundras with two major rivers. Isle Serenity is also considered to be part of The Dancing Isles, and has been a centre of trade between North Faerie and the Isles for millennium. Isle Serenity itself provides fish, water plants, and animal products to much of the region.
Qei's Shield
This small island is located just to the south of Isle Serenity. It was named for its shape, which does indeed resemble a shield, and for the strong following of Qei found there. Qei's Shield is a major exporter of lumber.
Pebble Island
According to legend, Pebble Island was 'discovered' by early Fae sailors searching for the Otherlands. The first mate asked the captain if they should land on the tiny island to explore further, to which the captain responded, "There's naught but pebbles here! Onward!"
True to the captain's words, there is very little on Pebble Island but rocky beaches. However, in more recent millenia, Pebble Island has been found to contain a huge amount of nickel, obsidian, and diamonds. Mining operations have boomed recently, causing an increased interest in the islands of North Faerie.
Grove Isle
This small island off the coast of North Central Faerie was a popular vacation spot for the Queens of the Grove Dynasty. Even today, the island is home to many exclusive resorts and considered the ideal getaway local for the rich and famous. The Isle is also an important aquaculture hotspot and one of the leading pearl exporters in all of Faerie.
Shyuk Island
Shyuk Island is a large island in South Faerie. As South Faerie was among the last regions to be conquered by the Faerie Empire, many areas maintain some of their local culture and pride. Shyuk is no exception. Many on the island still worship the old Sylvan gods, making it one of the only places on Faerie where the Pantheon of Heaven is not the dominant religion. Shyuk is often viewed as a refuge for Traditional Iather, Nature Mages , Wild Fae, and elves who follow the old faiths, as cultural diversity is not only accepted, but widely celebrated on the island.
Shyuk Island is a major centre for livestock farming and aquaculture. Many mining operations have been started in the island's desert, the Blood Laced Land, but local workers refuse to enter the desert. This has delayed mining as workers have to come in from other regions, but Shyuk is now a prominent source of industrial materials and precious metals.
Seekers' Point
During the early days of the Faerie conquest in South Central Faerie, an imperial general heard a rumor of an island nation of treasure hunters living on Seekers' Point. He took his forces in search of is this nation, hoping to bring great treasures home the Emberton. Instead, he found the treasure hunters themselves, who made short work of him and his forces, and sent their corpses back to shore as a warning. Seekers' Point and it's sister island, Shipbreaker Isle, were the last to fall to the Faerie Empire.
Seekers' Point still has a very strong tradition of treasure hunting and adventuring. Many of the best warriors in Faerie are known to come from this island. Additionally, Seekers' Point is a great source of luxury goods and aquaculture.
Shipbreaker Isle
The slightly less well known sister island to Seekers' Point, Shipbreaker Isle was another treasure hunter stronghold. It was named for its most iconic battle, in which three Imperial fleets were sunk, despite the treasure hunters having only eight ships. Like Seekers' Point, Shipbreaker Isle carries on the treasure hunting traditions of their ancestors. The Isle also produces many luxury resources and is a major aquacultural centre.
Moon Island
As the name would suggest, this island is the first place in which the Heaven god Moon was worshipped. To this day, he is worshipped as a god of mystery, truth, peace, forgiveness, compassion, and equality. Moon Island is also a minor lumber exporter.
Fort Dauntless and Flameburg
These two islands off the South coast of West Glacia are the remainder of the Glacian Boundary, a line of military infrastructure that was built near the western border of Glacia to prevent the invasion by Faerie Imperial forces. These two islands allowed for weapons and supplies to be stored and manufactured closer to the front lines.
Flameburg, the larger of the islands, had many weapons factories, store houses, and a number of hospitals and temples to treat wounded coming in from the front lines. Fort Dauntless is the smaller island, and located closer to the mainland. It served as a military base to defend Flameburg.
The Hopeless Chain
A chain of small islands of the north coast of East Sylvania, the Hopeless Chain is home to several active volcanoes. These volcanoes put off a particularly large amount of ash and smoke, which combines with the islands' fog to create smog. The acapellago is named for the dismal appearance that this lingering smog creates.
The Hopeless Chain is almost exclusively used for the mining of metals and minerals.
Northland is a small island to the northeast of Kykas. There was no known fae presence on Northland until very recently, but many have reported unusual going ons on the island. These include seeing smoke as if from campfires in the distance, hearing voices in the woods, the discovery of animals that appear to have been killed with weapons, and a very old stone well at the centre of the island. Northland has been thoroughly searched and mapped, but these strange occurrences continue to baffle settlers and explorers alike.
Tornas
Tornas is the second largest island in East Glacia. It is a centre of trade between the Wild Mage Lands and the Faerie Empire. Tornas is also a well known producer of D'oae fruit and bark, a staple in East Sylvinian and Dassnian cooking.
Tornas is the setting of the infamously romanticized and inaccurate play Flight of the Last Heir which suggests that the "Otherland" that the last Emberton Emperor fled to was not, infact, another continent, but the island.
Sarone's Carian
Sarone was a celebrated warrior-queen of the Sunfall Empire. They are said to have fallen heroically defending retreating Sunfall troops at the battle of Tornas. Sarone was buried by the Earth and Dawn, in the shadow of the island they had spent their life defending. This created Sarone's Carian, an island known for it's rich history and remaining traces of Sunfall culture.Rust Mountain
This tiny, highly volcanic island in northern Dassnia is one of the riches sources of iron off of the mainland. The island was named due to the amount of exposed a rusted iron that could be seen on the rocks.Isle of Riches
This was the first island in Dassnia on which gold and silver were discovered. It was named the Isle of Riches, and keeps that name despite having significantly less precious metal than other islands.Kykas
One of the biggest islands in Faerie, Kykas has a complicated cultural identity. While it is technically considered part of East Sylvania, the island has belonged to Glacia since Dassnia fell. Surprisingly enough, while there certainly is an influence of Wild Fae/Dusk Bloom and Dassian culture, Kykas has it's own unique heritage.Northland
Dandera
Dandera is the ancestral capital of Dassnia and Dassnian culture. The island was first settled during the pre-empire era, and the first Dassnian kingdoms rose to power there around the time the Emberton Empire was peaking. The island lost most of its political power when Dassnia became part of Gracia. Dandera is still an important historical, cultural, and spiritual place for many people of Dassnian descent.
The largest Dassnian island and most populous, Das has become vital the the economy of west Glacia. Das has a large and rich coastline and contributes greatly to aquaculture. But unlike the other Dassnian islands, Das also has many factories. These factories work to make the supplies used by aquaculture facilities all of Glacia and even trade with the Dusk Bloom Alliance and more recently the Faerie Empire.
Das is also the island with the least support for Dassnian independence.
The smallest of the main three Dassnian islands is the Ait of Brilsa, sometimes called Brilsa for short. Brilsa was the first of the islands to be annexed by Glacia. It was named Brilsa for General Brilsa, who conquered the ait. Today Brilsa is known for its iron and brass ores, which are refined and used in factories on the Glacian mainland.
The west and east obsidian islands are two small volcanic islands located between Das, Brilsa, and the Gracian mainland. They are both rich in minerals, particularly obsidian which is used to make precise blades for factory machines. A small amount of gold has also been found on the west island.
Das
Ait of Brilsa
Obsidian Islands
The west and east obsidian islands are two small volcanic islands located between Das, Brilsa, and the Gracian mainland. They are both rich in minerals, particularly obsidian which is used to make precise blades for factory machines. A small amount of gold has also been found on the west island.
Oceans
West Faerie Sea
This sea borders west and north central Faerie. It has large populations of edible fish, including limunama and ekkfups. According to legend, the last Emberton emperor and his supporters fled across this sea to the Otherlands when Emberton Fell.
Southern Faerie Ocean
Despite it's name, the Southern Faerie Ocean actually has very little to do with Southern Faerie. Instead, it is the ocean south of North Central Faerie, and west of Central and South Faerie. This warm ocean is excellent for aquaculture and provides 39% of the sea food in North Central Faerie. The Dancing Strait
This narrow strip of water runs between the The Dancing Iles and Isle Serenity. It is considered the official line which divides Faerie from the Dancing Iles. Despite this, many consider Ilse Serenity, Qei's Shield, and Pebble Island to be part of the Dancing Iles.Ashfire Deep
The waters off the southern coast of south faerie are very deep, as the sea floor drops off steeply less than 100 meters out from the Ashfire River. These deep waters once made the region rich in aquaculture and fishing, though the pollution from Ashfire has led to a decrease in fish populations. The restoration of the Deep is a long-term environmental goal of many political factions in the region. It is estimated that restoring the Deep to its original fish population would decrease unemployment outside of Ashfire by 2-5%.Ravenbarrow Sea
The sea surrounding the island of Ravenbarrow provides fishing and aquatic resources for many of the most populous regions in the Faerie Empire, including the capital at Emberton. Like the Ashfire Deep, pollution has become a problem here, as well as overfishing to feed an ever-increasing consumer demand.Hunters' Depths
A narrow sea surrounded by South Faerie, Central Faerie, and Glacia was named from the treasure hunting societies that formed on it's best known islands. These treasure hunters are master ship builders, explorers, inventors, fighters, and adventurers, and were among the last groups to fall to the expanding Faerie Empire.Northern Ocean
The northern Ocean borders the entire northern coast of Faerie, and contains Serenity Isle, Pebble Island, Qei's Shield, Krykas, and Northland. It is home to Ingih, Ekkfups, and Eykpos, as well as many other large fish. The northern Ocean is one of the largest unspoiled fishing grounds and accounts for 16% of all sea food production in Faerie.Sylvan Gulf
The Sylvan Gulf borders Central Faerie, West Glacia, and East Sylvania. It contains most of the Sylvan islands and provides most of the aquatic resources for the Dusk Bloom Alliance.Glacian Sea
The Glacian Sea is to the south and east of Glacia and the southern coast of the Faerie Empire. It extends further to the west and south into the Otherlands, allegedly.Gulf of Glacia
Located in/around Dassnia and East Glacia, the gulf is the single largest aquaculture centre in Faerie. It supplies 24% of the continents' seafood. 63% of employed individuals who live near the gulf work in the seafood industry in some manner.Political Geography of Faerie
