True Artifacts
Items made by the Gods are plentiful and varied, but only a select few are labelled as their greatest works. These artifacts are thought to be some of the most powerful items in all the Cosmos, and are often only handed out to mortals in times of great need.
Epiphany, Thunderbolt of Lútus
Known to smite and inspire in equal measure, many inventors spend their lives hoping to be struck with Epiphany and granted their next great idea. In the hands of mortals, however, The Thunderbolt is a deadly weapon the likes of which few could hope to wield. Belief holds that it most recently saw use by
Ástrapos Xanómenes, and was returned to its master when his champion faded away.
Foundation, Fragment of Éda
Said to be a piece of Éda's living, beating heart, capable of allowing its bearer to share in her eternal life and walk within her form as naturally as a bird flies through the air. While many have travelled and prayed in search of the heart, none have ever claimed to have found it within the texts of recorded history.
In the hands of Katas, this hammer shaped the Cosmos. In the hands of his chosen, it forged The Colossus. To hold Creation within your hands is to carry a great burden, for whatever it builds is destined to have untold impact upon the world. It most recently saw use within the hands of
The Exotics; time alone will tell the waves they will make in the halls of myth with whatever they have made.
Horn of Patír
The original, legendary, Cornucopia is prophesied to not only provide mortal nourishment enough to gorge a city, but to be a source of Ambrosia as well - the food and drink of the Gods themselves. To have access to such a source could catapult a person to divinity, should one wish it...
The most powerful mage staff in the world, able to call down the very heavens to bombard foes with falling stars.
Veil of Sévas
Some form of cloak, mask, or other such artifact used to hide and disguise the wearer.
These winged sandals are often seen upon the feet of near every statue of The Wanderer, imbued with the speed of a God. Rumours abound, stating that the wearer will be able to fly and move so quickly they may as well be teleporting.
Entropy, Talisman of Fidain
A dark and dreaded amulet, famous in Kanios for causing the worst famine the Republic had ever seen some 40 years ago. It is known to rot everything in proximity to it - water falls foul, metal corrodes, and creatures grow sick or old. The culprits wielding the amulet were never publicly found; one only hopes they were caught and killed in secret, and the amulet stashed away in some hidden vault for the rest of time.
More a theory than known object or artifact, Oblivion is the hypothetical concept of true nothingness. When The Underworld has forgotten your name, the sun has long since burned out, and the stars faded to darkness, Oblivion awaits us all. It is reasoned then, that Haroch may have a way to hasten this final moment, a door to the end of the Universe itself. As frightening as the thought may be, it remains pure conjecture... for now.
Once a shining scale, the last remnant of Kiderha's body was found in recent days to be a dull grey kite shield that appears battered and worn. It still holds the power to protect its user, but is lacking much of its true potential.
Bloodshed, Gauntlet of Kanzu
Of all the artifacts, those that know Bloodshed's history label it as the most tragic. Its original purpose was to be a spark of divinity that could be shaped into anything imaginable, yet after eons of corruption all it knows is violence and weaponry. The once limitless potential has been bound, permitting it to "only" turn into any weapon one can imagine, and empowering the wielder to wade through a river of foes victoriously.
Harmony, Harp of Temní
With strings woven from Temní's own hair, Harmony is a harp of mithral whose voice has been used to bring armies to peaceful tears and Gods to awed silence. An aching pain then, is the fact that is has not been heard for many generations of mortal history.
A crown forged by the combined power of three Gods as a gift for the Champion during her earliest days. It is said to have the power to protect and inspire all around, and to turn the tide of any battle. The Temples of Zia claims they have held it in safekeeping ever since she ascended, yet well hidden legends state it was passed to the mythical
Planeswalker instead...
Relics of Unity
Many Gods are known to share certain domains with one another, ruling over the broad concepts while their Empyrean childrean act as the primary face of it. An example of such would be The Sea and The Wanderer sharing power over merchantry and ships. In some cases these shared domains have artifacts of their own, created either by the Gods working together, or by the relevant Empyrean acting alone.
Kýngos, The Triumvirate Bow
Three Gods share the domain of hunting; Sévas, Kanzu, and Éda. Together they forged a bow whose name simply means "Huntress", named after their Empyrean child who rules this shared domain. Its powers are said to be varied and many, but there are three most often agreed upon; perfect invisibility under the light of The Moon, enchanted arrows with a lacerating edge, and lordship over wolves of any kind.
Lesser Gifts
The Gods are fond of granting boons and gifts to mortalkind, whether to aid them in their own lives or to combat another diety's influence. These gifts are not usually as powerful as a God's chosen artifact, yet the survival of entire cities can depend on them.
Modelled after Patír's own Cornucopia, Horns of Plenty are one of the most common gifts received by mortal settlements. Able to magically create food and water, The Provider is known to grant these horns to villages who pray faithfully even during times of hardship, often saving them from starvation.
A silver mirror crafted by The Sea to protect her followers from deception and disguises, the singular Mirror of Revelation is a highly sought after prize by any who fear the machinations of shapeshifters and illusionists.
