Ruling in the southern lands, the Kingdom of Aminum is an elective monarchy ruling out of the capital city of Aminum. The system for deciding the heir to the kindom is unique in that, noble blood is a requirement to be an elector, but not to rule as King. The candidates are pulled from any who are able to prove themselves in the Trial of Three.

While the status of the city of Seinah is still contested, it's independence has not been contested since the fall of Aman'yok and the cessation of all time keeping. Administration and Maintenance of the Seinah Bridge however, is still overseen by Aminum

The Trial of Three
The Trial of Three is a competition used to determine who amongst the population of Aminum is fit to rule. The trial is divided into three demands, of body, mind & soul. While the trial can be undertaken by even the smallfolk of the Kingdom, prohibitive costs assosciated with the Trial means often only other members of the nobility are capable of completing all three tasks.The Fair Houses
Despite it's status as an elective monarchy, where any and all of Aminum's peoples can rise to the position of King, the vast majority of it's sovereigns have hailed from either houses Iulia,Ebrus or Sifflet. These houses, so called Fair Houses, due to the prestige of providing most of Aminum's rulers.Trial of Body
The trial of body is the first step in the path towards kingship, it is held as a grand tournament where all peoples of the realm are allowed to sign up. The tourney grounds are made outside of the castle walls. The tournament continues until such a time where no greater than a dozen combatants remain willing, or able to fight.As part of the conditions of the tournament, entrants are allowed to use whatever armor or equipement they arrive in. As such, loss of life for those who cannot afford armor or quality weapons is a common occurrence and the only a dozen entrants will be allowed to advance towards the next trial.
Trial of Mind
Held in the University of Aminum, the Trial of Mind is an intense series of debates held between those who had made it through the melee. The combatants are asked to speak on subjects ranging from Aminite history, laws and customs to more abstract concepts like the nature of ruling or from what supreme authority all other authorities are derrived.As part of the duties of kingship, instructions for the trial are provided in written word. It is here that much of the smallfolk are removed from the selection process.
Trial of Soul
Those who have persisted beyond both the trial of Body and Mind are brought into the catacombs below the Cathedral of the Aman. From these depths below, the Trial of the Soul is conducted. Of this trial, nothing is known, for those who would enter these catacombs are sworn to the greatest of secrecies. Once the trial has concluded, those would be crowned sovereign exit from the cathedral, crowned in golden leaves and wielding with the Aminum Sceptre, which confers the right to rule over the city of Aminum and the kingdom itself to the new sovereign.History
