A wight wreathed in aetheric flames appears at the Alter Stolz Rasthaus and leads pursuers to the Hohen Stolzgau fortress.

The party arrives at the Alter Stolz Rasthaus and has a tense moment with the local authorities. The tension is broken when a monstrous echo appears, attacks the tavern patrons, and flees into the mountains.   The Tower officer present organizes a posse to chase the creature down, including the party.   The creature leads them to Hohen Stolzgau; an abandoned villa in the mountains built by a disgraced nobleman.   At the villa, the party finds the creature, which seemed to be siphoning energy from another creature, a spectral figure.   The echoes were slain, but Lechutal appeared and convinced Hazu to assist him in ambushing and slaying the Tower Officers. They did so and burned the corpses, making it look like the Tower soldiers were killed by the manor's haunts.
