Úlvan Plain
Navalede: Úlvan /uːlvaːn/
Low-Tapalic: Úlvæn /uːlvain~uːlvən/
High-Tapalic: Úln /ulːn/
Þígean: Vórþe /vouːrθɛː/
The Úlvan Plain1 is a small region nestled between the southwestern Dap Hills and the river Nanave in northeastern Þígis, the southern province of the Kingdom of Núrak in western Adynía.
It's a rural area inhabited primarily by low-tapalic-speaking Núrakic Elves, who mostly subsist on fishing, growing oats, onions and -more recently- carrots, but have long been known throughout Núrak and beyond for their famed úlvanic horses2, which núrakic elves consider the best breed among mundane horses, with only Sylvan Unicorns, Pegasi and alicorns having greater prestige.
Unlike the swift and relatively small falisstrían horses native to the province of Velúsía in the eastern part of the kingdom, úlvanic horses are large and robust, with a smooth gait and usually palomino complexion, and are used by the majority of the núrakic aristocracy when at war.

Geography
The Úlvan Plain is one of the most fertile regions in Núrak, even more so than most of the area along the Nanave and the southwestern coastline. Summers there are warm and while it generally doesn't snow on the plain, sleet is common during winters.
1Original icelandic: Úlvanslétta.
2Known as úlvantes /uːlvaːntɛːs/ in navalede.
