Anþa Vylkalí-æ-Vóane
Anþa Vylkalí-æ-Vóane is the easternmost of the Snake Monasteries found in the region of Paheiríen in the Sjorgús Mountains, and one that receives the greatest number of pilgrims each year.
The reason for this is due to its location between Svarkó Pass to the east on one hand, and the city of Eiakal in the Kingdom of Marissía to the southwest on the other, with winding pathways connecting the monastery to these places via the settlements of Tóaþril and Faraldún, respectively.
Anþa Vylkalí-æ-Vóane is named after the cave which it encompasses, known to Marissíans as Vóanis, which contains the source of the river Little-Níaþan, tributary of Níaþan. The place can be seen on a clear day from the observatory in Faraldún Academy, and both the paths and area around the monastery provide stunning views over the mountains and lowlands.
In addition to its religious importance, the building also contains extensive archives of texts variously written on papyrus or parchment, with subjects ranging from mythology to annals stretching back centuries -including every prophecy given by the Snake Oracles there- to detailed descriptions on local botany and wildlife. Scholars from Faraldún Academy and beyond often visit the place to study these texts.

Architecture
Anþa Vylkalí-æ-Vóane is one of the largest snake monasteries in the Sjorgús Mountains, and due to its proximity and frequent visits from Marissía, many of its architectural elements resemble those found in Ófelóin, northern province of the Kingdom of Marissía, with the main difference being that the building is made from stone rather than wood.
The roof is tiled with slate brought from Tóaþril, which is a common feature on all but the simplest buildings around Svarkó Pass.
The carvings and colourful frescoes inside the monastery depict waterfowl, fish and amphibians of all sorts found in and near Little-Níaþan as well as Níaþan proper, along with more traditional serpent- and floral imagery.
