Demographics
Much of the population consists of góalanic orcs, mostly belonging to the Gakalog tribe, along with native Góalanics.
Government
The city is ruled by the chief (rúk) of the Gakalog tribe, one of the nine tribes that make up the federation.
Infrastructure
At the center of the city is a shrine, consisting of several stone statues surrounding a juniper. Offerings to the gods in form of libations, animal and (occasional) human sacrifices are performed by the tree, except for the the culture hero Narr, who has his own underground sanctuary beneath the shrine.
History
The city began as a base of operations to the orcish tribes during their conquest of Góalanis, gradually expanding as the war went on until it became a full-fledged fortress, similar to the ones in Úrún. After the last native king, Hirelos Svaras II was defeated, the orcish tribal chiefs gathered in Nanarr and elected one of them as the first king of the federation, who established his court in the city.
Nanarr remained the capital of the Góalanic Federation for centuries, until the court was moved to Gakúnóka to keep a better eye on the fledgling Sikíron Empire to the west.
