Sorkótans

The Sorkótans1 are a human tribe which inhabits the northern Lera and the woods south of the Lakú Mountains in southern Gráhúlysía. Their territory is bordered by the lands of the Rúali to the south, East-Þirks and White-Gords to the east, Keþía to the north and the Red-Gords to the west.
Their main settlements are Kirtas and Palar on the northern shores of Tárútan Lake. Like the rúali, they settled in the area after migrating from the Wild Mountains during the fall of the Paþarían Empire.

Society

Sorkótan society resembles that of the neighbouring rúali, being divided into an sorkótan aristocracy and freemen who can afford weapons and arms on one hand, and serfs and slaves descended from the natives on the other. Unlike their cousins, the monarchs are elected by aristocracy, and their status only lasts so long as they prove to be capable rulers.

Culture

Apparel

Most of their traditional clothing has given way to gráhúlysían and, to less extend, sikíronian styles, with a notable exception being their distinctive black woolen cloaks, worn by men and women alike.

Religion

Sorkótans worship Seska, goddess of hunting, as their patron deity.
