Alshlyn's Dagger

Alshlyn's Dagger is the name given to the ancestral dagger of the Medvidev Family. For generations the dagger has passed down from to a new member of the family after the death of it's current owner. The weapon first belonged to Alshlyn I Medvidev, a Great Jarl of Norveil, who used it to kill Jarl Ordin Kell of Karak by stabbing him in the neck during the Burning of Jardal Hall at the end of the Frost Rivers War.

History

The dagger was ordered smithed in 1150 by Great Jarl Rodgier I Medvidev as a nameday for his sister, then known as Crown Princess Alshlyn I Medvidev. He had it made with a wyvernbone hilt, her favorite wild beast.

Notable Holders

• Great Jarl Alshlyn I Medvidev -- Original owner. Used it to kill Jarl Ordin Kell of Karak by stabbing him in the neck during the Burning of Jardal Hall at the end of the Frost Rivers War.
