First Battle of Northflow River

The Conflict

Along the western banks of the Northflow River near the city of Karak.

The Engagement

Rodgier I came from the north to the Kells marching up from the south. They engaged on the banks of the river, no side able to flank the other around the deep rushing waters. During the battle Rodgier I took a wound from a knight's spear and went down. He died before he could be rushed from the battlefield.

Outcome

Rodgier I Medvidev died from a spear wound to the chest. And with the jarl dead the army was in a state of disarray, so much so that the Kell army was able to storm their stronghold and steal the body of the jarl.

Aftermath

The rebels took the stolen body of the jarl and beheadeded it before sewing a raven carcass to his neck. The head was sent back to Rodgier's sister, the new Great Jarl of Norveil, Alshlyn I, as a taunt for her to come finish when her brother couldn't.

Historical Significance

Legacy

With the death of her brother, it's said that Ordin Kell woke a bear in Alshlyn I.
