An Aghaidh

After witnessing the pain and torture the Sanguine Order brought and still brings over the elves, the An Aghaidh made it their mission to stop the terrors once and for all and free the victims of the sanguine crimes, giving them a chance for a new life.

Origin & History

After endless rumors of kidnapping and torture inside Ederaa had reached the ears of many Ciraen elves, there was finally proof of it in the year 463. An Elven women named Marvina Aryn-nue managed to escape the chains of the Sanguine Order and was helped by an elderly Human merchant couple named Earl and Sadie Porter and their son Neville across the border and all the way to Queen's Rise, ignoring the dangers they put themselves in. After their arrival the Porter family was imprisoned and their cart confiscated. A long half-week was passing before Marvina was able to tell the Lodge of the happenings and convince them to let the Porters go free. Honoring their deeds they were allowed as first humans ever to stay inside the elven capital and despite everything that happened Marvina later married Neville and gave birth to the first half-elven child in Cirabaen.   After hearing the stories from his mother, Alosrin Aryn-nue Porter later became the founder of the An Aghaidh and after a lot of training traveled back to Ederaa to try and free more elven women and children from their dark fates. More people soon followed and the operation became more organized with the passing of years.

Structure & Members

There are two larger groups inside the An Aghaidh, one being the liberators, working mostly inside Ederaa and near the border, the others being the more politically active one.

Saoradh

The Saoradh are the liberators, consisting mostly of half-elves that were once captured by the Sanguine Order or ones that lack the typical elven features to blend into the ederaan population easier. There are also ciraen elves found inside the rank, but they are mostly operating hidden from the human eyes in the cover of the dark or secret paths. They act more like a brother/sisterhood inside of the organization.

Vidrohi

The Vidrohi are also known as the rebels inside the An Aghaidh, mostly fighting on the political front inside of Cirabaen, trying to convince the the Lodge of the Seven that a war is the right option to proof the elven power and superiority over the humans and to finally end the terrors the Sanguine Order is causing to their people behind closed doors.

Centers of Power

While the An has followers located in many of the larger elven and half-elven settlements, these are three most notable ones in the world:

Alchemist's Alembic

With Sarros Norovar as one, if not the most important, member of the Saoradh, acting as a spy for the An since years. He provides information of upcoming transports to intercept them and a place to hide any freed elves and half-elves until they can be escorted to Cirabaen or New Fearann.

Ocean Breeze Manor

Lady Aeris Serpenthelm, a retired leader of Broadton who long ago found her way to the coast of Ederaa and bought an old lords unwanted manor from his surviving dependents. After learning from the An Aghaidh and their doings, Aeris wanted to do anything she could to help out, offering her ship to anyone in need. She makes a monthly or if needed bi-weekly tour to New Fearann, to drop off any victims of the order.

Public Opinion and Rumors

The public opinion of the An Aghaidh is divided into two larger groups, the supporters, who cherish their work and try to help however they can, if it is with coin, clothing, places to stay or anything else that might be of use and the opposition, who are afraid that any of the An's work will lead to a new war and that the saving of the few is not worth the possible suffering of the many.
