Queen's Rise
Before the Tear
Before The Tear (The creation of Aerion) had rent the land, the city was once a place full of life. Located near the edge of a desert and near the ocean, the people lived from trading sandstone and other goods with the mainland. After a meteor strike had drained a small portion of the ocean and formed the Glass Crater, the inhabitants got scared. Religion fueled the fires further and many people started to flee, so many that the rest was forced to follow soon after. The city laid abandoned ever since and slowly started to decay. The Elves Arrive
After the elves were driven out of Ederaa they found the abandoned city in the desert. They named it 'Caladh' - haven, as it was their new home and escape from humankind and nature alike. With the help of magic they started to rebuild the city. It withstood the first attempt of invasion when the wayward prince of Ederaa tried to take it from them. The human king suffered a humiliating defeat in the desert lands, where the elves easily had adapted to in a short time with the help of their magic.Later, the elvish king Talan Vriodas executes his vengeful son Carwyn Vriodas to prevent another war with Ederaa. Said son was wounded during the war by the cursed sword and believed himself to be doomed to die if the sword was not destroyed. Believing his bloodline to be unworthy to lead, the king handed control of the kingdom to his most respected adviser, Archmage Myddin Aldanae, whose bloodline became the new ruling family before she founded the Lodge of the Seven - a magocracy taking the place of the former monarchy. Talan then declared to his country that his time was nearly done, and headed of into the Azuremist, never to be seen again.
The city was first named King's Fall, but later renamed Queen's Rise, as a sign of hope and a new beginning. The city grew into the colourful shining capital under their new queen it is nowadays.
