Emazz Amazz
Major of Journey's End Emazz John Amazz (a.k.a. The Magnificent)
The 'major' of the magical city is named Emazz Amazz, one of the first 'elves' to inhabit Journey's End, as long as you stretch the truth a little. His ears were no illusion, at least no magical one. Every wizard and their neighbor would immediately spot it. They were simply fake pointy tips glued to his real ears. Nobody would believe a wizard would do something so simple, so they all accepted their little crooked look. He himself was so busy with trying to be the most wizardry wizard of all of the wizards, that he never questioned the fact that he could cast magic as a Human, or that he was way to old to be still alive naturally.
Due to the fact that he was hard to be accepted between all the naturally gifted pure elves, Emazz went with the approach of simply looking 'much more wizard' like everyone else. Tales from his mother helped him design his wide red robes with a big pointy hat and cape embroidered with bright golden stars that glitter in the faintest of lights.
Emazz was also the caster of the most complex spells known. Every single one of them required many huge candles from very rare giant bees wax, harvested during new moons, the wings of various insects that are "instinct" now, a lot of chalk for huge circles and symbols and never forget the cauldrons and a lot of fire. The more fire the better. Everyone knows that the amount of fire is directly connected to the power of the conjured spell. Yes, he could use only normal candles and some minor nick knacks, but he didn't have to - that was the REAL and TRUE magic of his spells.

His bright red robes are hard to miss, even in Journey's End. The cape that he wears around his shoulders and his tall pointy wizard hat are embroidered with golden stars of all sizes, that glitter in the faintest of lights. He usually carries around a lot of nonsense and nick knacks. Like a magpie he collects everything that is shiny or might just make for a good show during his spell casts.
