Calgurn

Calgurn is the capitol of Solstein and the seat of the Warchief. It rests where Cazaran, the dragon that rested in Solstein, once kept its horde and is said to have been built from the dragon's bones.

Geography

Calgurn is divided into five key districts that manage the needs of the hold and Solstein as a whole.   The Slave / Mine district gives access to the deep mines below and also holds the slaves of Solstein during the Winter when it is too cold to send them into the mines of they valley. New captives are kept in the cages and caves here to break their spirit and merchants buying and selling slaves often pass through this point.   The Smiths district acts as a major place to manage the weapons or warriors before raids or create new equipment as needed. Many of the finest smiths in the land move to ply their trade ere during the harvest season.   The Beast Pits / Arena district holds the warbeasts of the Solsteiners and the fighting pits where residents and raiders can resolve disputes and practice sparing before war whether against men or the creatures themselves.    The Clerical district is the home of priests for each of the Tathamite deities which is observed and protected by every warchief. The banners of the ruling clan are displayed on the temple of Tatham with each of the clans also bestowing standards at their gods place of worship. Priests at each of these places often act as informal diplomats and emissaries to the warchief and the other clans in this district.   The Chieftain's Hall is the centre of governance for the valley and includes both the chieftains hold, their personal guard's chambers and also the treasury of Solstein that includes the wealth and treasures of the leadership. Ting meets take place in this hall and any decision made in this place is considered to be as good as law.
