D'hampir
The D'hampir are a sub-species of Vampire formed of those who have been transformed not by the ritual of vampirism but instead the bite of one created from the ritual. While any vampire formed of the blood of a Higher Vampire is bound to their will the D'hampir is more intimately bound to their creator being completely unable to personally harm them or challenge their will.
D'hampir thus make up a great number of a vampires court acting both as courtiers and loyal guards in the event of an attack. D'hampir bonds do however leave them with a greater vulnerability and with the true death of their creator their condition erodes and with it all the natural effects of time that have been resisted collapse upon them often leading to the D'hampir's death.
Basic Information
Dietary Needs and Habits
Like their creators D'hampir crave blood to sustain them. They however are bound to the same blood desire of their master and as they feed they satiate their masters own personal need to feast magically transferring some of their own sustenance to their creator. They do however possess a diminished need to feed compared to a true vampire with some D'hampir able to fulfil their need from the mere consumption of bloody meat.
