Gerard Palatine

A father of Raz Palatine Gerhard was a hunter and protector of a shrine of the Green Father near Borlun. He met Cassimir Palatine in the woods and the two formed a love over time. When Cassimir Palatine was forced to flee his caravan alongside the infantile Raz Palatine Gerard took them in and married Cassimir raising the child as his own. 
Gerard was closer to Raz than Cassimir and would often take her into the woods. Though he did not possess the gift of the Green Father his grandfather did and as Raz showed traits of it he helped her master her abilities. Gerard was an honourable man who in the Fireborn attack on Borlun moved to ensure the shrine was safe. Taking a near fatal wound he would be taken back to Csorvan and healed under the care of Cassimir. 
Gerard would die some years later in the Olfen Plague without knowledge of his daughters whereabouts but in the company of his loving husband.
