Djinn

Djinn is an umbrella term for the people of Jahannam. Despite their significant biological differences, it is generally believed that all djinn share a common ancestor, although what this ancestor actually was remains a mystery, as does how they diverged so dramatically. Some people believe that Zabaniya are a recreation, or an attempt at a recreation, of these ancestor djinn. However, there is very little evidence to support this.
