Millstone
Demographics
Millstone is the most primitive civilization in the Highlanders territory. The people of the village only take what they need and nothing more, enjoying the simpler style of life. The vast majority of its citizens are farmers, fishermen, and agriculturalists. Led by a man known as Templar Dresden, a retired member of the Flame Legion who has found true joy and peace living within the city. The population consists of humans,elves,half-elves,ratfolk,beastfolk,dragonkin,gnomes, and even a few fae.
Government
Led almost solely by Templar Dresden, the only other group or individuals who have power within the village are a few members of the circle of dular who visit from time to time, ensuring everything is running smoothly.
Defences
The only defense the city has is their leader, Templar Dresden, and a small band of warriors he has personally put together and trained himself.
Industry & Trade
Millstone does not bother with trade with outside kingdoms; they typically just sell their goods and resources to Stathford and Alverton, letting them do whatever they want with the goods from there.
Infrastructure
Built to be entirely self-sufficient, the village has a few windmills and one large watermill used to help with day-to-day activities. A couple of small shops exist inside the village, selling some niche items but mainly tools for farmers and fishermen.
Assets
Similar to the rest of the highland civilizations, the village of Millstone has an immense variety of crops they are able to grow within the area.
History
Built under the orders of Boomy's father as a means to provide a vast amount of food and resources for the growing kingdom. It quickly became unnecessary as the other settlements began to learn to provide for themselves. While the village no longer needs to provide for the entire country, it simply serves as a place for individuals to live who do not want to be a part of the larger cities or the lifestyle that accompanies it.
Architecture
Typical medieval village.
Natural Resources
With the connections many highlanders have with the land, many have vast fields of growing crops of various uses. The highlands are home to the most diverse plant life in all of Agodale. From crops used for general consumption to unique flora used for alchemical means.
