Purpose / Function
No one knows what the tree's true purpose is. Many have spent their lives trying to figure out where it came from and what it might want but have died without the answer.
History
No one knows where the tree came from or how long it has been around for. It is a massive sentient tree that communicates with individuals through telepathy. While always willing to talk with anyone it only gives information or answers question to those it deems worthy. Typically those of pure evil intent have no lucky conversing with the tree but a few in the past have managed to get what they want from it. This makes pinning down the trees true desires difficult. No one knows for certain what the requirements are to speak with the tree because they types of individuals it speaks to are so inconsistent. the Circle of Dular worships the tree like a god. Every member of the circle makes a yearly trip out to the tree to either speak with it or simply pay respects. Many believe the tree is all knowing and has an immense amount of knowledge because of how deep its roots run under Agodale. Some believe they stop within the highlands while others believe they stretch across all of Agodale.
Tourism
The native druids of the land are incredibly protective of the tree but they are consistently told by the tree it welcomes any and all visitors.
