Valdyn Kenviir

In Queen Dalia's campaign to have the people of Avalencia follow her lead into the realm of the Feywild with as little controversy as possible, she appointed the young, yet well respected Valdyn as the captain of the city guard. With him being both a reasonably renowned knight and a large advocate joining the Elven Alliance, Valdyn found himself promoted soon after the Queen's coronation, used as a vessel to spread good will about her goals, which is something that his more than happy to do. Some of the more elder nobles have nicknamed him the 'Queen's Dog' as a result, but Valdyn cares little for their comments, valuing the survival of his people over their traditions and pride.

Personal history

Born to the Underdark

Valdyn's path would always be clear to him. The third child of a noble family would always result in him being the lesser sire, viewed as far more expendable than his two older sisters, resulting in him becoming a warrior. He showed a decent level of talent, nothing too exceptional, though enough for him to eventually become a knight of Avalencia at an age younger than expected when Queen Dalia took the throne from her mother, being made quite the public figure as he was given the title of captain of the city guard.

Knighted After Cataclysm 

Valdyn was one of the few knights that was sent to aid in the battle against Lolth, the Spider Queen, during the ruin of Thantheas. He was too late to save the city, only making it in time to see the heroism of The Gauntlet of Kitzstadt., who managed to destroy the Planes Gate to the Shadowfell, preventing the traitor goddess from escaping to the Material Plane. He then aided in defeating the creatures that managed to get through the gate during the chaos, witnessing the selflessness of the banished half-blood Tharla Olyth, reporting back the new Queen about this. He was then knighted, and Tharla was made High Priestess upon her return.
