The Servant's District of Lor'Thal

The Servan't District of Lor'Thal is a small area next to the ports where many of the non-High Elf population of Lor'Thal live. Their area is rather neglected by the guards of Lor'Thal, and is self policed

A riot several decades ago meant that a member of the Servant's District does serve on the Ruling Council, though there is a requirement that this representative at least be an elf.

Gangs of the Servant's District

No city would be complete without a little crime, and Lor'Thal is no different. Though the gangs in the Servant's District are nowhere as rough and tumble as the brigands seen in other cities, they still frequently go against the ordinances put in place by the Ruling Council

The Rough Hands

Started by a bunch of ruthless Summer Dwarves, the Rough Hands has grown to include humans willing to match their brutality. Rough Hands members usually act as muscle for nobles, and can be frequently seen running insurance scams on traders in the Market District... insurance from the Rough Hands smashing their stock.

5th Street East

If there's money to be made, 5th Street East is there for a piece of it. An enterprising group of humans, elves, halflings and the occassional dwarf each do what they can to make a coin out of the port district, or any traders that happen to run their cart a little to close to 5th Street.

5th Street East formed when the original 5th Street gang split into two factions during a leadership crisis. Since then, 5th Street East reclaimed the rest of the original 5th Street territory from 5th Street West, but decided to keep the new name... At least it's members will learn the more marginal points on the compass when the gang splits again.

The Rats

No one really knows who runs The Rats, but whoever it is, they seem to know everything. Considered the 'spy gang' of Lor'Thal, the Rats have a large network of informants that make sure no one breaths in Lor'Thal without them knowing about it, and that's when they take their cut.

Think of them as the underground version of the great archives, except it's gonna cost you.
