Sixth Republic of the East
The Sixth Republic of the East, also known as the Marbellian Republic, was the governing entity reigning over the eastern half of the Arken continent between 6785 AA and 80 PE. Holding the record as the oldest continuous country in history, it owes its longevity to its precursor (albeit imperfect) democratic system, flawless bureaucracy and plentiful ressources, although often tested by its neighbouring, more aggressive, neighbour.
Brought turmoil by the constant intervention of the western United Kingdoms, it eventually collapsed when the Republic was incapable of facing the threat, and was quickly taken over by the Marbellian family, who took control with an iron hand and a more militaristic approach.
Culture
For a very long time, the core of Marbelliese culture was hard work, equality, and pacifism, although towards the end of its existence, this was changed by the Western Kingdom's constant aggression and a couple centuries of bitter sentiment
