Vulsh Tobor

A tea shop on the Ring, Vulsh Tobor is a command--Drink Life! Built on stone pillars above a saltwater lake, Vulsh Tobor extends both above and below the water. Multiple towers rise up, connected by rope and wood bridges. Platforms extending between them are surrounded by guard rails and concealed by trellises with fragrant plants. The whole thing resembles a tea garden, stacked on multiple levels upon each other. Elemental magic, and the actual salt water content of the lake, invoke fresh sea breezes, but inside the plant-screened gardens, the breezes are held at bay and only sweet floral smells drift through.   The proprietor of Vulsh Tobor (non-draconic speakers just call it Vulsh) is Oxphash Ophigil, a bronze dragonborn woman from the Danoks dragon tribe. Formerly a seafaring merchant, she was accused of smuggling by a zealous Danoks paladin and petitioned a friend of hers--a sorcerer trained at Ioth Academy--for asylum. Upon arriving, she put her incredible palate to work as an assistant to the previous proprietor of Vulsh. After ten years, she took over.   Oxphash has a long, distinctive snout and thin glasses she wears to keep a watchful eye on students. More than one prank has befallen her towering tea garden, most recently involving illusory bees swarming the highest platform. She's picked up a little magic in her time, enough to know what to look out for. While suspicious of rambunctious teenagers she's also a big believer in live-and-let-live, offering expert advice on which brews match which foods, what teas help with what ailments, and even suggesting specific preparations based on the client's personality.   Vulsh deals primarily in teas and tisanes (herbal infusions from non-tea plants), but also serves snacks and assortments. The menu is inspired by the traditional cuisine of the Danoks tribe, including lots of fish and shellfish. Matching teas with seafood requires a delicate touch. Slightly fermented brews tend to work best. While much of the food is savory, there are pastries, cookies, and various cakes and loves, served in small portions and each matched to a specific tea. Fresh fruits are also available.
