Christmastide English

Merry Christmas! All is calm and is bright here in Christmas Town! We are jingling our bells and singing carols so that Big Red can deliver Hope to the children on Christmas Day.
Northern Polar English is a variety of the English language native to Christmastide Valley. It is the same both written and spoken in a meaningful degree of uniformity. It lies on the same axis as American, Canadian, and British English therefore it also shares the same language family (Indo-European-Germanic-West Germanic-North Sea Germanic-Anglo-Frisian-Anglic-English-Northern Pole English).   The current speakers include Christmas Elves, Christmas Reindeer - Flyers, , Polar North Yetis - Hairy Humanoids,Polar bears, Mantle of Santa Claus and Unicorns. These main speakers include each Guardian of Childhood.   While most of the Gaurdians are not of Christmas, they have lived long enought to have it be part of them as well. Except for Baxter. Baxter was the newest speaker until Angela come on scene.

History of Christmastide English Language

In the beginning, all spoke the Mystic Tongue of Ancient Power. And many still do today.   Nicholas was just settling in at his new home, Christmastide Valley. And he was still figuring out how his year should go.   It was years later when a routine had been set that a natural, almost coded language began. The Elves and Reindeer began using Christmas words and phrases. Words thst hadn't been invented outside of the valley were being used!   And soon, this language became part of daily life. Other words and phrases naturally came to be used growing the language even more! And all naturally over time.   This language, now called Christmastide English, is still spoken even today!
Before Santa married Gertrude, he spoke this language so fluently that he slipped into using it when they started their new life together. She didn't know what the heck he was talking about which made him switch back into actual English.

Non-native Speakers

Gertrude was the first non-native speaker to speak the language. And became so proficent before their wedding, her parents had to ask her to speak English.   Upon their marriage, they became the High Royalty of Christmas Magic and the Creators of Christmatide English even though she had nothing to do with it. Must be because she married someone who holds the Mantle of Santa Claus.   Nowadays, Santa and Mrs. Claus run Santa's Village using this language and have since added more speakers!   The first non-native speaker, after Mrs. Claus, is Baxter Jevon Oran Baggs. Both of them become native speakers. When Angela moves up north to attend The University of King Arthur's Ancient Mystical Studies, she also begins speaking this language.
