Cartographer's Guild

The Cartographer's Guild was the first crown-funded semi-autonomous organization within the Kingdom of Acarius . The guild is charged primarily with exploring and documenting territories surrounding the kingdom, and as such work closely with the @Rangers of Acarius, who make it their duty to secure the borders through scouting and examining the outlying lands.
The guild's secondary purpose is to assist those who would see themselves on a path that differs from the norm - exploring caverns and caves or delving deep into the God's Vault . As such, cartographers are generally hardy folk capable of multiple days travel through inhospitable lands.

Structure

The Cartographer's Guild is split into groups based on location known as "chapters", each one of these chapters represents guild efforts within their communities, and is host to multiple teams.
Each team in the guild requires three specific member types, but may be any size that the elected group leader sees fit. The required members are a scribe, an artist, and one moderately trained security person.

Public Agenda

The Cartographer's Guild survives on a mixture of government grants and minor trade from their map sales. The official agenda of the guild is to map all regions of Aneirys in at least moderate detail.

Government Sanctioned

The Cartographer's Guild is almost entirely funded by the Kingdom itself, and as such they have a wonderful working relationship.

Friendly

The members of both guilds often employ one another, as each is quite suited to fields that the other find themselves having issues with. Cartographers will hire adventurers to grant security, as mercenaries can be bought out and turned betrayers, and Adventurer's tend to need someone to keep track of the more remote locations that they're experiencing.

Peace

Though officially involved on the behalf of the Kingdom at large, the complaints and questions on security within Orivos have lead to the dwarves harboring a bit of resentment when dealing with the scholarly types from the Cartographer's Guild.
