Deep Lords
The governing families of Orivos are known as the Deep Lords, three households who trace their lineage back before The Battle of Bay's End , to the Dawn of Finality itself. Primarily led by the Strongarm clan, but established after Barnell's own beliefs that no one person should hold power over a group, the lords have watched over Orivos since it's founding.
Public Agenda
The goal of the Deep Lords is to maintain peace and a semi-autonomous state within the Kingdom's borders. Their secondary objective is to maintain a defensive stronghold for all dwarves in the kingdom.

Since Orivos was gifted to the dwarves by the first great king, The Deep Lords have held the Kingdom in high regard when discussing expansion and politics.
Friendly
Much more likely to involve free agents in their problems, the Deep Lords have been calling on rogue bands of (generally dwarven-led) Adventurer's to assist with issues that the dwarven families themselves cannot overcome.
Peace
Though officially involved on the behalf of the Kingdom at large, the complaints and questions on security within Orivos have lead to the dwarves harboring a bit of resentment when dealing with the scholarly types from the Cartographer's Guild.
