Tower of Levetta
Over a century ago a powerful mage used this tower as his home while he researched dragons. His ultimate goal was to bend these mighty creatures to his will. Before he could complete his work, he was slain, leaving his tower invisible and forgotten.
A century later, this tower was rediscovered by a beholder, Xanfovos. In carving its way through the mountain and into the tower using its disintegration ray, Xanfovos broke the spell of invisibility that had been keeping the tower hidden.
Whilst searching for the Crooked Tower seen in Shinsuke's vision to find a way to Arpeggio in the Feywild, Gamble initially believes this tower to be it. They later discover this was just a red herring.
The players were able to search the tower and recovered several interesting magical artefacts, however they were interrupted by the arrival of Clavis Interitus via teleportation who had been watching them periodically with the use of Scrying spells.
Importantly, they were not able to recover the Robe of the Archmagi (black) or Headdress of Ritual Summoning that can be used once a day can cast a conjuration spell on the caster’s spell list without using a spell slot. This was on display behind a translucent column (wall of force) that contained the remains and phylactery of a defeated lich.
They also did not reveal the secret of the red dragon head hung on the wall that was surrounded by cracks and indentations. Inside the dragon’s mouth was a hidden extradimensional space, similar to a bag of holding that held the wizard’s spell book and a 9th level gate scroll.
After their departure, Clavis was able to search the tower at his leisure and has reclaimed these items.
