H&A-T20CQ
The first in a recently emerging class of titan. The CQ titans have redefined combat against the mechrion. With all the speed, and agility of the scout titans, and a whole new sort of offensive capacity. The other two titan manufacturers have begun on CQ titans of their own.
Since ancient history, the blade has always been a part of war, associated with war. For the past three hundred years, the blade has been missing. Call it what you will. An experiment, an Archangel-killer, but I firmly believe that this will revolutionize the way we fight the aliens. And, it's no more complicated than a sharp stick. -Joseph Holland, owner of Holland and Anderson Mechanization.
Power Generation
Like most titans, a single miniature nuclear reactor is required to power this machine.
Propulsion
Along with the usual hydraulics, and servomotors, this is among the first of titans to experiment with back mounted jets designed to enhance running speed. Not to be confused with jump jets, these cannot lift the titan off the ground. Not without heavy modification.
Weapons & Armament
Being a close-quarters titan, its armament is light. The only integrated weapon that comes with the base model is a manipulatable scatter-cannon. Outside of this, the titan comes equipped with a sword, with a mono-molecular edge, making it difficult to manufacture, and very expensive.
Armor and defense
In order to preserve its speed, the armor on this titan must be relatively thin, only about eight inches of titanium plating protects the titanmaster within. This protects it from most alien small-arms fire, but doesn't do much against the larger weapons, often mounted on the Mechanon Battlesuits.
Communication Tools & Systems
A standard radio is used to communicate.
Sensors
Like most titans, a standard sonar, and radar array is used to get a lay of the land around the titanmaster. The "head" of the titan is simply just a hub of optics, sensors, and data collection. The cockpit lies in the titan's chest.
