Izu (Ee-zoo)

Izu is a medium-sized village set along the southern cliffs of Terawa, located along the road north from the city of Yukijima and just east along the road from the neighboring village of Hinamizawa. It is best known for its relatively tranquil farming space, hunting, and fishing along the Kuromizu River. Izu is also known as the 'first stop' for travelers and pilgrims heading for the Touge no Orochi, the Serpent's Pass, a long and winding path leading up into the Naga Mountain range, with it's final stop being at the Terawa Sanctuary, an ancient temple to the gods.
