Morgana Le Fleur
"I feel...I feel!! I feel...cold."Of the prominent noble families on the western coast of the Oreion Inquisition, the La Fleurs were among some of the most powerful. Morgana La Fleur fell in love with Lord Calif, a Crescentian Noble she encountered during her time sailing the Brink Sea. Over the years they would write to each other and meet in secret when fortune favored them. Their relationship blossomed, and for a time, Morgana was truly happy to be loved and roamed the seas with her noble lord. One fateful night, however, Morgana gave birth to a child, and knowing full well that if the Inquisition were to discover it they would not treat it well. She was forced to send it away in secret, never to be seen again. Lord Calif encouraged her in this, but it broke his heart, especially when he learned that Morgana’s secrets had been discovered by the Inquisition and her family had been dismantled. He died shortly after he learned the La Fleur estate had been burned to the ground. With her seafaring skills, Morgana then escaped the Inquisition and became the infamous dread pirate Captain La Fleur, vowing to damage both the Empire and Inquisition that had robbed her of her two loves. With every ship she destroyed, she left behind red peonies to mark her destruction, the symbol of her once great family. Cruel and cold, she continued to rule and pillage the seas, up until the start of the 3rd war between the Inquisition and the Empire. By then, with the massive fleet they had built for the war effort, the Inquisition cornered La Fleur’s ship, The Last Goodbye, in an island grotto. After the fire power of the fleet brought the island down on top of her, La Fleur was presumed dead. Unbeknownst to everyone, however, Morgana had struck a deal with the Ancient Faust in her final moments. She would become a Dark Ferrywoman; scouring the seas for any poor souls who had a debt to pay, to Faust or otherwise. They could pay their toll with years serving aboard her now revenant ship. But The Last Goodbye and her crew were now cursed, becoming morphed and deformed the longer they remained on the vessel. In return for her service, Faust kept her and her ship alive and functionally immortal. Morgana saught a legendary Artifact tied to Faust known as The Debt Collector, or at least someone who could lead her to it. With it, she could be free of her end of the Bargain with Faust, and take revenge on the world that robbed her of the life she onced loved. Fortunately, after discovering the artifact in the Trickfoot Treasure Trove off the east coast of Crescentia, Morgana was slain by The Companions, and the Trove was lost beneath the waves of the Brink Sea once again. Years later, in 1004 3A, Morgana was resurrected by an adventuring group and one her surviving crew members beneath the city of Imperia. Her current whereabouts are unknown.
