Overview

The Scarlet Citadel is a large citadel located in Aurus, a large city within the land of Gershon. It is a major stronghold that is also a refuge for mighty individuals to rest after their daily adventures. The Scarlet Citadel can be see from anywhere within Aurus, throughout the day and night. The Scarlet Citadel has a red faint glow that is see only at night, hinting in the innate energy that lies within the building.

Design

The Scarlet Citadel is designed as a seven-sided citadel with a massive dome within the walls, that serves as the center of the citadel. The dome was created using the yashper stone, a special stone that has an unique glow due to the otherworldly origins of the stone. The walls that surrounds the Scarlet Citadel has seven sides, matching each side of the citadel. There are windows on the ground portion of the Scarlet Citadel.

Denizens

The denizens of the Scarlet Citadel consist of members of the Zethamites, who live in a Zetham city that is nearby. This is also the home of the highly-respected adventuring group the Dawnkeepers, who use the Scarlet Citadel as their headquarters. Members of the public are also welcome to the Scarlet Citadel, mainly for guided tours & special events. There is one major exception to this in regards to the public: mages. Magi are utterly forbidden from ever setting foot in the Scarlet Citadel. The Scarletguard are under orders to severely punish any magi, even an Archmagi, who dares trespass on their domain.

Defenses

The defenses of the Scarlet Citadel consist of a massive hedge that can be called forth to act as a protective shield around the entire citadel. This hedge is maintained by the Scarletguard, a special honor guard who are tasked with the defense and overall security of the citadel. They also use the defense storehouses within the walls to use the defensive weapons within them.
