Session 41 Report

General Summary

Cher's Log

It was a largely uneventful day, sadly little was gain but I made some progress too figuring out what was going on with the twins. I’m not concerned that they were naughty, but I’m upset they were sloppy. The bird lived; they didn’t finish the job. And they interfered with my plans. Their execution wasn’t bad, utilizing some dangerously powerful spells in their plan. But according to another strange… bannermane? They weren’t very convincing admitting that they simply found the badge? Regardless he found them wandering near Wati with heavy injuries. He healed them but that means their exit plan left a lot to be desired. I know someone is in the caves up there, wishing to speak or something. I’m not sure what they want from me, but from the dragon to this it appears that fate will see us meet soon. Our interrogation of the dog only revealed that he had contacted someone going by number five for the job dealing with the goose. And my wives carried out the mission. That number used to be my designation, and clarity had no knowledge of this mission or my wives going AWOL. At least that’s what she claims. How much she can be trusted is unknown. I’m only friendly to her because she can be an asset, I assume the feeling is quite mutual. If I’m no longer useful to her then this could be an issue considering her apparent reach. The Goose wants to play pony savior complex and is staying in the wasteland of a desert to help the underprivileged or whatever it is he’s claiming to be doing. Had he cared, he would have dismantled the slave operation here and all over long ago. The journey to Wati was going to be a long one, with our dragon with us. So, we rushed back to the Textile to collet our pay and be on our way. We however didn’t receive our pay this time, but the armory was opened to us, allowing us to take some much-needed gear improvements. After this, we will be on the road for quite some time. Hopefully, whoever or whatever is pulling the strings doesn’t get cold hooves while we come for them.

Swift's Log

With the dust having settled, only Karat remained as he was locked up and put upon a solid stone ground of Amden's creation. The goose had his turn of fun berating and humiliating Karat, rightfully so! He produced a zone of truth for us to conduct our interrogation with before setting off to check on the townsfolk. We got to asking Karat about how he came into contact with Jinx and Misty, and where they were now. There was another account of them being 'ponies'. I'd heard the same from the sphinxes back in Bleakburn but attributed that to their confusion. Two accounts of Jinx and Misty appearing as ponies further indicate these two are most certainly playing a fool... but just how many players are in their game exactly? Cher says Clarity doesn't know anything about this, but Karat says he dealt with a 'number 5' which Cher also claims to identify as. She's a short one and her bullshit doesn't quite climb up to my beautiful snout, I'll keep careful and observant. There's many twists and turns on this journey, perhaps more than I'm comfortable with... We were joined by a pristine white and golden kirin, eyes a similar shade of striking violet as mine. She seems pure, hopefully she can help bring some balance of morals to this group... Even without Moon Planter's influence I was rather shocked to see Cher and Tangent attempting to hang Karat and further brutalize him. Apparently Kreepers and Clump had gotten away, Karat's office ransacked and they didn't make the instant connection they weren't coming out. Dr. Amden told us he'd stay in town for a while and shore up relationships.. very well. I mentioned the remaining Aetherstone in the nearby cave so perhaps he can work out a deal on procuring those. For now, we're headed back to Bleakburn to pick up our dragon and set off on our journey to deliver Kafe to her hubby, and continuing on to Wati where we believe Jinx and Misty to be headed.
