Kazad Kol
A large dwarven fortress, the capital of Svimalin and Karak Lok.
This is the city of Kazad Kol the capital of the Kingdom of Svimalin and its main barony Karak Lok. When standing in the city square, one can see the immense, high ceiling rests upon massive columns hewn and smoothed from the raw stone of the mountain this city resides in.
Veins of precious minerals glimmer within the columns, with ancient carvings which depict dwarves digging deeper and deeper, intricate etchings worn smooth by centuries.
Domed structures rise from the floor, homes and towers and workshops chiseled from the heart of the mountain, their windows flickering with blue light from brightstone used for illumination.
Dwarves clog the streets and alleyways of the subterranean metropolis, hauling metal and rock, barking at one another. This sprawling city of stone seems to hold aloft the immense weight of the mountain above. Built into the mountain range Norden Karag. One of the many notable locations here is Der Izor Grong (The copper anvil) tavern. A powerful forgotten weapon hangs in the royal vault. Some of the people that live here are:
The King, Rathspori Hilldeguard.
The Crown Princess, Nomi Hilldeguard.
The General Anam Oak-Slayer.
The Fortress Guard Officer Thorin Drakk Dengri.
The miner Dwalin Drakk Dengri.
The barmaid Skarawynn Runeshield.
The courier Urist Hirn.
The Master Librarian Mafoli Silvercup.
The Commander of the Dum Doki Gokdren Steelfinger.
The collector Erimdam Hilldeguard.
The runesmith Yotmumli Rhunki.
The Magam Grungni Battleforge .
