James Short tenured professor at Columbia University for several years. He serves on a couple of the University Archaeological research teams from time to time. He has spoken at length in classes like his Factual Archeological Discoveries class where he was quoted, “X never marked the spot.” This class drew interests of students from multiple schools as it referenced popular films and was both a social science and fine arts credit course. This was the class where he first met with
Josh. His focus is on ancient cultures particularly Asian cultures and mythology.
Upon waking on
Moon base he spoke and advocated for
Dr. Rhinehardt and was able to procure a modification to his phone to allow conversations with the moon and also power dampening collars for capturing
"The Children" .
Since joining the group he has been selected to function as leader. He has sought to better understand the
organic ship and its
Caregiver. He has helped the rest of the group gain the meditation ability (see
Contacting Ancestors). He has also experienced guidance from his ancestor
Huang Feihong.
Through his connections he was able to make contact with
Erem Scathac for help entering the lower level of
Club Paradise. Where he has later procured
"the children's" black ledger , orb
and
Encrypted Journal.
