Amalthea
Amalthea, believed to be the oldest of the Celestial alongside Aries, resides and rules over the realm of Elysium, the centre of her power and where she first came to be. She is known as the mother goddess both for her part in creating nearly all life on the material plane, and for giving birth to four deities herself; Helia, Elara, Castor and Pollux.
People of all kinds across many races worship Amalthea. Temples or other monuments dedicated to her could be found in every settlement of the The Alyssian Empire and are among the first erected in settlements today. This is due to her being the goddess of motherhood, nurturing, femininity, beauty, and nature, values shared by many. Farmers, artists, parents/caretakers, and women are especially fond of her.
Appearance and Symbols
Amalthea is usually portrayed as a fat woman with dark skin and long curly hair, typically with a golden colour scheme. Amalthea's sacred animal is the goat. Her holy symbol is the sickle. While most of the higher beings (deities, archdevils, etc) are accosicated with a particular form of dragon, Amalthea has no real associated dragons. The clostest is an elven children's rhyme in which she is described as an electrum dragon. Electrum was the highest piece of currency, the tier above gold, and made using a mix of gold and silver. There are no records indicating the existence of such a dragon.Relationships
