Districts
Old Quarter: Original settlement. It has old world charm with cobblestone streets, artisan shops and old architecture.
The Docks: This is a lively district. Ships come and go with trade goods at all times of night and day. Fishing boats go out every morning and come in at evening tide, bringing a fresh haul of fish and other marine life. Warehouses are constantly busy along with canneries and open markets.
Dawnheath: This district is full of the lavish homes of the nobles with some upper class restaurants. It is a good distance away from the castle but it's still a quick ride. Being located here gives them easy access to the heart of the city and to the Old Quarter.
Grey Sprawl: A densely populated district known for its labyrinthine streets and towering grey stone buildings, where artisans and craftsmen ply their trades amidst the bustle of everyday life.
Northgate: This district is a bustling throughfare as travellers and traders come to town from the rest of the kingdom. There are many inns, taverns, and small warehouses in this district. There is also a large open marketplace.
East Town: This district is right outside the Castle. It houses barracks for soldiers and finer homes for the officers. It's a clean district but a quiet one, as well as sterile in the sense that it's all white stone, straight lines and uniform houses and barracks.
Sunrise Ward: An eastern district renowned for its breathtaking views of the sunrise over the horizon, where elegant mansions and lavish gardens adorn the streets, and the scent of blooming flowers fills the air each morning.
Storm Pole: A rugged district located on the outskirts of the city, characterized by its sturdy stone fortifications and watchtowers, built to withstand the fury of storms that sweep across the land.
Bonewood: A mystical district nestled within the heart of an ancient forest, where towering trees with golden leaves cast dappled shadows over quaint cottages and winding paths, and the air is filled with the soft whispers of magic.
Castle: The building of the castle took nearly 100 years and cost many lives. All who died in service of building this for the Queen Superior are revered and have been given a place in the mausoleum under the castle. It's a grand place where the Queen Superior lives and resides over the Kingdom of Utharia. She holds court here with the nobles and military council. Tours are given twice a year.
South Ward: A bustling district teeming with activity and commerce, where merchants peddle their wares in lively markets and colorful banners flutter in the breeze, welcoming visitors to explore its vibrant streets and bustling city proper.
Lowbowl: This district is known for its tranquil atmosphere and charming countryside scenery, with quaint cottages dotting the landscape and verdant fields stretching out as far as the eye can see.
Hottown: An industrial district where the clang of machinery and billows of steam fill the air, Hottown is home to bustling factories and workshops, where skilled craftsmen and laborers toil away, forging the kingdom's goods and wares.
Widefield: An expansive district characterized by its vast open spaces and sprawling estates, where grand manors and elegant villas are surrounded by lush gardens and manicured lawns, offering a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.
