Sovereign
The title of the sitting ruler of the Bechtlarite Empire retains the title of Sovereign despite their power no longer being absolute. While they do still play a very large role in Becht politics, it is far more a matter of influence than direct order now.
Duties
The Sovereign plays a lead role in the Order of Objective Representation, but only so far as the single vote they have to issue allows them to go. Their influential presence and ability to be the face of Becht political power is still a very useful tool, and the Sovereign is expected to act as a foreign diplomat to other nations, and an ambassador in th4e case of new settlements and people being found.
Benefits
The Sovereign and their family remain at The Palace of Glass in Armuun as their primary residence, and enjoy all the luxuries that this location affords them.
Accoutrements & Equipment
The Sovereign jewel, a long time symbol of power, was recovered at great cost from the remains of Sovereign Daimus III . The jewel itself, priceless and as old as the Empire itself, was cracked by the energy of the Void, and the color yellowed, but even in its present state it serves as a symbol of the seat of power, and a reminder of the last true Sovereign ruler of the Becht.
