Clockwork Red

General Summary

Separated from the rest of the party and surrounded by enemies, Caldwell attempted to climb the stairwell and above the din to get word to the rest about his predicament. About halfway up, his injuries were vast outnumbering his progress, and the mounting desperation gave strength to his shouts, reaching the ears of his party members just before he fell. Quickly moving to their friend in need, the party started down the winding stairs but found them cluttered with patrolling clockwork guards. As the party dismantled the enemies before them, the combat-cursed barbarian focused on more indirect help via the arcane switchboard, eventually turning the protectors docile. The party quickly rushed further down the stairwell in search of Caldwell, healing him before unconsciousness could take a more eternal hold. Battered and bruised, the party's battle against time and resources is quickly coming to a crossroads.
