Requiem of Fae
General Summary
Caldwell quickly dispatched the rug mimic, but the now living specimins were not so easily dispatched. A fireball and quick strikes from the fiery dragon left Besella wounded and reeling. The powerful jaws of the winged serpent crashed down on Caldwell leaving him bleeding profusely and close to unconsciousness. Fizzik was able to land a couple powerful punches, distracting the serpent long enough for Caldwell to slide in to get the killing blow. Once dispatched, the party focused in heavily on the fire drake, with Gourm getting the final blow as the two creatures reverted to taxidermy. Caldwell searched the room and found a few elixirs that looked to be useful including an elixir of life.
Licking their wounds, the party chose to recuperate within the study, resting and feasting once more on the jellied fruit. During the evening, Besella found herself drift from the darkness of rest into a thicket under a starlit sky. There, Aeris, or the Nightscale, appeared before her and showed her the loss of a fae city in Slovengaard to the Volskra as they slaughtered their kind in search of Vitraxine . She awoke to find a unhealable wound carved shallowly into her forehead and Coda had sprouted translucent wings that were a cross between dragon and dragonfly. Realizing the need to move quickly, Oliver opened the way forward where Gourm found the Binding of Echoing Remnant ritual as the reincarnation key began glowing upon entering the chamber. The party continued to find themselves in a well light study, aged parchment in the air, and another floating letter just above the table in the center of the room.
