The Adventure so far 14: Take a Page Out of My Book
General Summary
Central Domain Time: Descending Vegday of Valni (8/3/1636)
The adventure began in the bustling city of Malicity with Sepherim, a Tiefling Diviner, and her Aasimar bodyguard brother, Uriel. As they were staying at a tavern, they encountered an unusual trio consisting of Garrett, a Human , Llywelyn, an Eladrin, and Cole, a Warforged with tentacles for arms. The trio was on a mission to retrieve a spellbook for a wizard named Doubt.
Uriel and Sepherim joined forces with the trio to find Doubt and his missing spellbook. They found a talking cat and the wizard in his tower. The spellbook had come to life and was on the run from the wizard, Doubt, and his intentions of using it in a ritual to resurrect his fallen ally, Cadran. With the help of Llywelyn's grasping vinesl and Cole's grappling tentacles, they managed to restrain and interrogate the spellbook, which was now in the form of a talking bird.
The group soon discovered that The Red Claws, led by the powerful Tiefling sorcerer, Scarlet, had interest in Doubt's spellbook as well. The group encountered one of The Red Claws' lieutenants, Avarice, and engaged in a fierce battle, Scarlet also appeared on the scene, summoning her mana arms and temporarily turning Uriel against her new allies. Despite Avarice's powerful fireball attack, the Garrett killed her with an Eldritch Blast. Uriel landing a near-fatal blow on Scarlet, but she managed to escape through a magical gateway, on the other side was the Infernal Dominion.
With The Living Spellbook safe in their hands, the group returned to their headquarters with Avarice's staff and ring, and Sepherim and Uriel found a new home on the floating island that served as the group's headquarters.
